Nitoprime 88 — Rebar Protection & Bonding Primer
Fosroc Nitoprime 88 is a single-component polymer-modified cementitious coating that serves as both a corrosion-inhibiting primer for steel reinforcement and a bonding agent for repair mortars. Simply mix with water to produce a brushable slurry. It creates a protective alkaline layer on rebar to prevent rust, while providing excellent adhesion between the substrate and subsequent repair materials such as the Renderoc range. Compliant with EN 1504-7.
Key uses: rebar anti-corrosion treatment before concrete repair, bonding primer between old and new concrete, bridge and building facade repairs, marine structure maintenance.
Nitoprime 88 vs Unicell Primer: Nitoprime 88 is designed for use with Fosroc Renderoc repair mortars. Unicell Primer is for the Unicell repair system. Choose based on which repair mortar system you are using.
