Sikasil Pool is a one-component, neutral-cure silicone pool sealant by Sika, resistant to chlorinated water and pool cleaning agents, with anti-fungal formula. Designed for swimming pools, permanently submerged areas and wet environments. Very short skin-over time.
Sikasil Pool Features
Sikasil Pool is a one-component, neutral-cure silicone pool sealant designed specifically for swimming pools and permanently submerged areas. It offers excellent resistance to chlorinated water and common pool cleaning agents, with an anti-fungal formula that effectively prevents mould growth. The neutral cure formula is non-corrosive and suitable for multiple substrates.

Sikasil Pool is the go-to pool sealant — specifically engineered for long-term submerged environments with superior chlorine resistance and anti-fungal performance compared to general-purpose silicone sealants. Standard silicone sealants (such as Dowsil 791) are not designed for pool environments and may deteriorate with prolonged chlorinated water exposure. Sikasil Pool has a very fast skin-over time, helping to speed up project schedules. Its very high elastic recovery ensures joints return to their original shape even after prolonged submersion.

Important Notes
- Not paintable — silicone sealants cannot accept paint after curing
- Not suitable for medical or pharmaceutical applications
- Not for joints in direct food contact
- Not suitable for bituminous substrates, natural rubber or EPDM rubber, or materials that may bleed oils, plasticisers or solvents
- Consult Sika Technical Services before use on natural stone
- Chlorine resistance depends on water pH and free chlorine content
