Sikaflex Construction is a one-component, moisture-curing elastic joint sealant by Sika, designed for expansion joints, perimeter joints and general sealing in concrete and masonry facades. Non-sag, bubble-free cure, paintable, and bonds to most substrates without primer.

Why Choose Sikaflex Construction
The key advantage of Sikaflex Construction is that it is paintable — silicone sealants (such as Dowsil 791) cannot be painted after curing, but Sikaflex can. If joints need to match the wall colour, Sikaflex is the better choice. Additionally, Sikaflex Construction achieves good adhesion on most substrates without primer, simplifying the application process. Important Notes
- Paintable, but must be fully cured before painting; non-flexible paint systems may cause paint cracking — compatibility testing recommended
- Not suitable for swimming pools or surrounding areas
- Not suitable for joints under hydrostatic pressure or permanent water immersion
- Not suitable for bituminous substrates, natural rubber, EPDM rubber, or materials that may bleed oils, plasticisers or solvents
- Consult Sika Technical Services before using on natural stone
- Uncured Sikaflex Construction must not contact alcohol-based products
- White and light colours may show slight discolouration due to chemicals, high temperatures or UV exposure — this is normal and does not affect performance
