Sikafloor 263SL — 2-Part Epoxy for Smooth and Broadcast Flooring Surfaces

Sikafloor 263SL is a two-part, multipurpose binder based on total solid epoxy resin. Designed for self-smoothing and broadcast flooring systems on concrete and cement screeds, it delivers a seamless, chemical-resistant, and mechanically durable floor finish. Suitable for medium to heavy-wear environments. Requires priming with Sikafloor 161 or Sikafloor 156.

Key Features

  • Highly fillable — suitable for broadcast systems
  • Good chemical and mechanical resistance
  • Easy application
  • Liquid proof
  • Gloss finish
  • Slip resistant surface possible
  • Solid content approx. by weight and volume
  • Cleanroom certified — Class 5 and GMP Class A
  • LEED v2009 IEQc 4.2 compliant (Low-Emitting Materials)

Applications

  • Self-smoothing and broadcast coating systems for concrete and cement screed floors
  • Storage halls, assembly halls, maintenance workshops — normal to medium heavy wear
  • Garages and loading ramps
  • Multi-storey and underground car parks (broadcast system)

FAQ

What primer is required for Sikafloor 263SL?

Use Sikafloor 161 or Sikafloor 156 as the primer coat. For areas with limited exposure and normally absorbent substrates, priming may not be necessary for roller or textured coating systems.

What is the difference between Sikafloor 263SL and Sikafloor 264?

Sikafloor 263SL is a self-levelling epoxy for smooth seamless finishes, while Sikafloor 264 is a roller-applied epoxy coating. Both use the same primer system (Sikafloor 161) and can be selected based on project requirements.

How much area does one 26 kg unit cover?

For roller coating: approx. 52–87 m² . For self-smoothing (per mm thickness): approx. 22–29 m² (/mm). Actual consumption varies with substrate condition, surface profile, and application thickness.
