General, waterproofing, insulation and other specialist mortars have different functions; select by substrate, thickness, interior or exterior location and subsequent finish.

Selection guide

  • General floor levelling: Optimix FS151 and Weber Easi Screed serve specified general floor-screed applications.
  • Waterproofing floor screeds: Optimix FS161, Weberdry WP Screed and Sika Ronacrete Monoprufe WM have their own waterproofing screed or rendering roles; check each application system and limitation separately.
  • Insulation floor screed: Optimix FS191 is an insulation floor screed and must not use the consumption or performance assumptions of a conventional dense screed.
  • Selection factors: Check substrate preparation, bonding coat, application depth, drainage falls, curing and the requirements of subsequent tile adhesive or finishes.

Consumption, water demand, minimum or maximum application depth and waterproofing details differ by product and must follow the latest technical data and project design.
