Product Overview

Unicell 60 is a prepacked vinyl acetate copolymer modified mortar requiring only the addition of clean water to produce a mortar suitable for structural concrete repair. Can be applied in thick section and is suitable for structural application. Layers 20-30 mm can be achieved depending upon substrate profile and technique. Greater thickness may be possible when applying material into pockets. Successive layers can be built up once the previous layer has become firm.

Notes

• Remove all defective concrete to a sound substrate; remove loose rust and scale from exposed reinforcement
• Cut around the perimeter of the repair area to a minimum depth of 6 mm to avoid feather edges
• Primer ratio: Unicell Primer : Cement = 1:1.5 by volume OR 1:2.0 by weight
• Mixing: whole bag of Unicell 60 with 4-4.5 litres clean water using a mechanical mixer
• Maximum thickness is up to 30 mm per layer
• Intermediate layers should be scratched or keyed and primed before the next layer is applied
• Finish to desired profile using steel trowel or wood float
• Cure the finished surface with Monocure 50
• Store in undamaged, unopened original sealed packaging in dry conditions; protect from direct sunlight, moisture, and frost

What is the difference between Unicell 60 and Unicell 40?

Unicell 60 is the highest strength grade (>60 MPa compressive at 28 days), maximum 30 mm per layer. Unicell 40 is a Class 40 repair mortar (48 MPa at 28 days), maximum 40 mm per layer. Class 60 is for high-strength structural concrete repair.

What is the maximum layer thickness?
