Product Overview

Fosroc Polyurea WPE is a two-component flexible, self-smoothing, rapid-cure pure polyurea membrane system. Formulated from proven polyurea technology components that, when combined and spray-applied, deliver excellent physical properties and extremely high application rates. The pure polyurea formulation enables use as a seamless, durable, high-performance waterproofing membrane and protective coating for concrete, steel and other materials in contact with water. The cured membrane provides high tensile strength, high tear resistance and excellent elongation.

Application Guidelines

Polyurea WPE is a high-performance spray-applied system that requires dedicated high-pressure, heated, two-component spray equipment and must be installed by an approved applicator with suitable equipment and experience. Surface preparation, the companion primer, application method, coverage and topcoat selection should follow the official product Technical Data Sheet (TDS). Notes

• Aromatic resin formulation — prolonged UV exposure may cause slight colour fade with no effect on physical properties
• For aesthetic applications, apply a colour-stable topcoat
• Do not dilute the product under any circumstances
• Full protective equipment including supplied-air hood required during application
• Shelf life: twelve months in original unopened containers (per manufacturer)

How does polyurea waterproofing differ from conventional coatings?

Polyurea WPE is a pure polyurea spray system that cures extremely fast (walkable in minutes), forming a seamless, highly elastic coating with impact, abrasion and puncture resistance far exceeding conventional waterproofing coatings. One hundred percent solids with zero VOC, achieving required thickness in a single spray pass. However, it requires professional high-pressure spray equipment and experienced operators.

Can it be used on steel?
