Monoset® RX is a prepackaged polymer modified waterproof mortar supplied as a two-component system (powder and emulsion). Formulated from non-shrink cement, rapid hardening fillers and waterproof admixtures, it achieves monolithic bond with most cementitious substrates and can support pedestrian traffic shortly after placement.

Notes

• Substrate must be structurally sound, clean and suitable for receiving high-strength mortar. Ensure surface is free from grease, dirt and other deleterious substances.
• Primer required: apply Monoset® Primer or Monoset® Grout mixed with cement onto damp concrete surface. Remove standing water before application.
• Mix components using a drill mixer or mechanical mixer near the work area.
• Trowel mortar onto the wet or tacky primer, finish with a float. When laying, also prime the underside of elements.
• Clean tools immediately after use with clean water.
• Data based on laboratory testing; actual performance may vary depending on site conditions.

What is the difference between Monoset RX and Monoset RXG?

Monoset® RX is a waterproof mortar suitable for kitchens, balconies, water tanks and general floor repairs, rapidly gaining strength for pedestrian traffic. Monoset® RXG is a waterproof concrete with aggregate, suitable for driveways, car parks and areas subject to heavy vehicular traffic, rapidly gaining strength for vehicle use. Both are rapid-hardening waterproof products from the Ronacrete range.

Does Monoset RX require a primer?

Yes. Before application, apply Monoset® Primer or a mixture of Monoset® Grout and cement onto the damp substrate, then apply mortar while the primer is still wet/tacky. Refer to product data sheet for detailed mix ratios.
