Monoset® RX is an ultra rapid hardening waterproof mortar by Sika Ronacrete. This pre-packed polymer modified mortar is designed for repairing existing floors or laying new floors where waterproofing and speed of strength gain are critical. Manufactured from non-shrink cements, rapid hardening fillers and waterproofing admixtures. Accepts foot traffic in approximately 1 hour with 28-day compressive strength exceeding 40 MPa. HKHA approved material, low VOC.
Monoset RX Product Features
Monoset® RX is a pre-packed polymer modified waterproof mortar supplied as powder and liquid components. Manufactured from a blend of non-shrink cements, rapid hardening fillers and waterproofing admixtures. Achieves a monolithic bond to most cementitious substrates and accepts foot traffic in about one hour of placement.

Notes
- Provide a structurally sound, clean substrate suitable for receiving high-strength screed. Ensure the surface is free from grease, oil, dirt and other deleterious material.
- Apply primer before placement: use Monoset® Primer or a mixture of Monoset® Grout and cement (1:1 by volume) on the dampened concrete surface. Remove any surface water or puddles before priming.
- Mix components using a drill and paddle or mechanical pan mixer close to the area of use.
- Trowel apply onto wet or tacky primer. Finish with float or trowel. When bedding, the underside of the component must also be primed.
- Clean all tools and equipment with clean water immediately after use.

What is the difference between Monoset RX and Monoset RXG?
Monoset® RX is a waterproof mortar suitable for general floor repairs in kitchens, balconies and water tanks, accepting foot traffic in approximately 1 hour. Monoset® RXG is a waterproof concrete containing aggregate, designed for driveways, car parks and areas subject to heavy traffic, accepting vehicle traffic in approximately 2 hours. Both are Sika Ronacrete rapid hardening waterproof products.
Does Monoset RX require a primer?
Yes. Apply Monoset® Primer or a 1:1 mixture of Monoset® Grout and cement to the dampened substrate before placing the mortar. The mortar must be applied while the primer is still wet or tacky.
