Sika RainTite — Flexible Acrylic Waterproofing Membrane for External Walls
Sika RainTite is a one-component, multipurpose, highly flexible UV-resistant acrylic emulsion waterproofing system. It forms a fully bonded, durable, and flexible waterproofing membrane on substrates. Easy to use with no priming required, it offers excellent adhesion to concrete, parapet walls, external walls, roof tiles, asbestos, and zinc roofing. Its thixotropic formula provides excellent control on vertical and sloped surfaces without sagging. Certified with the Singapore Green Label.
Key Features
- Single component, no priming required, easy application
- UV and weather resistant — no serious effect after 3,000 hours of artificial weathering
- Excellent adhesion to most construction substrates
- High flexibility (elongation ~100%), tensile strength ~2.5 N/mm²
- Thixotropic — excellent control on vertical and sloped surfaces
- Non-toxic, will not promote fungal growth
- Available in white, grey, and transparent
- Drying time 2-3 hours per coat
Typical Applications
- External wall waterproofing — building facades and parapet walls
- Sloped roof waterproofing — concrete sloped roofs (can be combined with membrane)
- Joint sealing — sealing roof joints, laps, and roofing screws
- Parapet wall protection — rooftop parapet waterproofing
- Roof repair — roof tiles, asbestos, and zinc roofing
Why Choose Sika RainTite for External Waterproofing?
- Thixotropic formula: Does not sag on vertical walls and sloped surfaces
- No priming: Apply directly to concrete, mortar, and other substrates
- UV resistant: Maintains performance under prolonged sun exposure
- Flexible: ~100% elongation to accommodate thermal movement
- Anti-mould: Does not promote fungal growth in humid climates
- Eco-certified: Singapore Green Label certified

FAQ
How to choose between Sika RainTite and SikaFill C?
RainTite has higher thixotropy and is better suited for vertical surfaces and joint sealing (external walls, parapet walls, roof joints). SikaFill C is better for large flat-area application (rooftops). Both are Sika acrylic formulas and can be used together.
How is RainTite applied?
Clean the surface and apply directly without priming (for porous substrates, dilute RainTite with 10% water as a primer coat first). Apply 2-3 coats by brush or roller at approximately 0.3 kg/m² per coat, allowing 2-3 hours drying between coats.
Is RainTite available in transparent?
Yes. Sika RainTite is available in white, grey, and transparent. The transparent version comes in 1 kg, 4 kg, and 18 kg pails.
Can RainTite be used indoors?
Sika RainTite is primarily designed for external wall and roof waterproofing, formulated for UV resistance and weather durability. For interior waterproofing, SikaTop Seal 107 or other cementitious waterproofing products are more suitable.
