Important Notes
- Substrate must be secure, load-bearing, and free from oil, grease, dust, and separating layers
- A primer may be required depending on the compound seal used
- Application: peel off the protective foil and stick to the dust-free substrate by applying pressure (no prestressing); immediately apply waterproofing compound (e.g. Sikalastic) to the joint at 10 mm distance, incorporating the tape into the waterproofing layer
- Overlaps at splices and connection points must be at least 4 cm; tape must be incorporated into the correct layer thickness
- Cut tape to size for pipes, drains, and corners, or use preformed accessories
- If bonded on top of the waterproofing layer and exposed to significant water, overlay with waterproofing compound
- Filling materials must be used
- Not suitable for saunas and steam rooms
