Used with SikaTop-107 Seal HK waterproofing mortar as a composite sealing system for bathrooms, kitchens, terraces, and balconies. Yellow tape, 120 mm wide, 0.6 mm thick, 10 m or 50 m rolls.

Sika SealTape S is a waterproofing tape based on thermoplastic elastomer with polyester woven fabric reinforcement on both sides and an elastic expansion zone in the middle. It is used as a component of a composite sealing system in conjunction with waterproofing membrane, tile adhesive, and ceramic tiles to achieve water tightness in wet rooms and around wet areas.

Important Notes
- Substrate must be dry, clean, and free from oils, grease, cement laitance, and loose particles
- A suitable priming material should be used if necessary (refer to SikaTop-107 Seal HK data sheet)
- Application steps: (1) Apply SikaTop-107 Seal HK mortar on both sides of the joint, leaving approx. 10 mm from edge mortar-free; (2) Place SealTape S on the coated joint and press firmly into mortar; (3) Cover tape completely with waterproofing mortar; (4) Continue with normal tiling
- Tape overlaps must be at least 40 mm; bond joints with Sika Adhesive Sealant
- Use preformed sections (IC/OC/WF/FF) for pipe entries and corners
- Not suitable for swimming pools — use Sika SealTape F for pool applications

What is the difference between Sika SealTape S and SealTape F?
SealTape S is designed for sealing perimeters and joints under tiled surfaces in wet areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, terraces, and balconies — suitable for both internal and external general wet area applications. SealTape F is specifically designed for swimming pools and permanently submerged environments. If the project involves a swimming pool, SealTape F must be used.
What products does SealTape S need to be used with?
SealTape S must be used with SikaTop-107 Seal HK (cementitious waterproofing slurry) as a composite sealing system. The mortar is applied on both sides of the joint, the tape is pressed into the mortar, then covered with another layer of mortar before tiling normally.
How are corners and pipe entries sealed?
Corners and pipe entries should be sealed using preformed Sika SealTape S accessories: internal corners with IC pieces (90°), external corners with OC pieces (270°), wall junctions with WF flashings (120×120 mm), and floor pipe penetrations with FF flashings (300×300 mm) to ensure complete waterproof detailing.
