Sika®-1 is a normal setting liquid waterproofing admixture for mortar and concrete. It blocks the capillaries and pores in the applied cementitious system to provide an effective water barrier against the transmission of liquid water. Ready to use, easily dispersed, and chloride-free, Sika®-1 is suitable for tropical and hot climate conditions.

Important Notes
- Stir Sika®-1 slowly before use to ensure a homogeneous, lump-free consistency
- Dilute Sika®-1 in the gauging water and stir slowly until homogeneous before adding to the mortar/concrete mixer
- Can also be added neat to the mortar/concrete mix provided the mixture is properly mixed to achieve homogeneous consistency
- Follow standard rules of good concreting practice (production, placing and curing)
- May be combined with other Sika products — preliminary compatibility testing is required
- Store in original sealed packaging, protected from direct sunlight, frost and contamination

How do I mix Sika 1?
Add 1 part Sika 1 to 10 parts water (approximately 3% of cement content). Stir slowly until homogeneous, then add to the mortar or concrete mix. For very wet sand, increase the ratio to 1:8, or 1:6 in extreme cases. Always conduct trial mixes first to determine exact proportions.
