SikaSet Waterplug — Rapid-Setting Waterstop Cement

SikaSet Waterplug (formerly MSeal 590) is a single-component, rapid-setting Portland cement-based hydraulic repair mortar that instantly plugs leaks through cracks and holes in concrete or masonry. Simply add clean water and mix — the material expands on setting to lock firmly into the repair area, effectively sealing even against active water pressure. The formula contains no metals or gypsum, features shrinkage compensation for long-term volume stability, and is certified safe for contact with drinking water.

Important Notes

• Do not use on frozen or frosted surfaces
• Do not use on dynamic (moving) cracks or expansion joints
• Do not re-temper material that has begun to set
• Chase cracks into square or undercut profiles — avoid V-cuts
• In hot conditions, material sets extremely fast — use ice water to slow reaction
• Do not apply in very cold conditions
• Keep surface moist after application
