Overview: Weberseal NS 105 is Weber's general-purpose neutral-cure silicone sealant (glass glue) for interior and exterior use. Neutral cure means it does not corrode substrates; it adheres well to most building materials without a primer, and is water- and oil-resistant with low odour — suited to window/door frame sealing, interior finishing and joint sealing between various building materials.

Key features

  • Neutral cure — releases no acidic gases; does not corrode metals or alkaline substrates (e.g. concrete, mortar)
  • Primerless adhesion — good adhesion to glass, tile, timber and most metals
  • Lasting elasticity — stays flexible after curing, accommodating thermal expansion and contraction of joints
  • Water- and oil-resistant — suited to damp and kitchen environments
  • Low odour — suitable for enclosed spaces and occupied premises
  • Interior and exterior — suited to general interior finishing and ordinary exterior use

Applications

  • Window/door frame sealing — edge joints between aluminium, timber or uPVC windows and walls
  • Interior finishing — sealing skirting, built-in cabinets and decorative trim edges
  • Building-material joints — filling joints between stainless steel, tile, timber, glass and similar materials
  • Non-structural expansion joints — small joints needing a waterproof elastic seal

Why choose Weberseal NS 105

  • Highly versatile — one product for windows, finishing and general joints, across a wide range of substrates
  • Primerless, easy to apply — adheres directly to most common substrates, improving efficiency
  • Low odour — lower application odour, suited to interiors and occupied units
  • Neutral and gentle — does not corrode metals, mirrors or alkaline substrates

Usage notes

Ensure the substrate is clean, dry and free of oil and loose material before application. Neutral silicone cures on airborne moisture, so deep joints cure more slowly and the joint should not be loaded or wetted before it fully cures. Where it contacts metal, mirror, marble or stone, neutral sealant is gentler and safer than acetoxy. Refer to the product instructions for coverage and curing times.

FAQ

What is the difference between NS 105 and NS 135?
NS 105 is a general-purpose sealant for interior and exterior use, suited to window/door frames and general finishing; NS 135 is designed for facades and glass curtain walls, with stronger UV resistance, better weathering and greater joint-movement capacity. NS 105 suits general interior and ordinary exterior use, while NS 135 is recommended for high-rise curtain walls and large facade expansion joints.

What is the difference between neutral and acetoxy silicone?
Acetoxy (acetic-acid-cure) silicone releases a vinegar smell on curing and can corrode metals such as copper and zinc and alkaline substrates, and can discolour natural stone; neutral silicone contains no acidic components, is gentler on all substrates and lower in odour, making it the safe choice when contacting metal, mirrors and stone.
