Monoset RXG Product Features

Monoset® RXG is a prepackaged polymer modified waterproof concrete supplied as a two-component system (powder and emulsion). Formulated from non-shrink cement, rapid hardening fillers and waterproof admixtures, it achieves monolithic bond with most cementitious substrates and can support heavy vehicular traffic shortly after placement. HKCI PCCS-RM Class S certified (per manufacturer).

Monoset® RXG is specifically designed for floor repair works subject to heavy traffic, providing higher early strength than Monoset® RX. Rapidly gains strength to support heavy traffic. High shear bond strength ensures secure bonding to substrate. Shrinkage testing shows no cracking. HKCI PCCS-RM Class S certified and compliant with Hong Kong Highways Department specifications, suitable for public road and bridge repair works (per manufacturer). SikaFiber® 155 may be added for enhanced flexural strength.

Notes

• Substrate must be structurally sound, clean and suitable for receiving high-strength concrete. Ensure surface is free from grease, dirt and other deleterious substances.
• Saturate substrate with potable water, remove standing water then apply Monoset® Primer.
• Mix components using a drill mixer or mechanical mixer near the work area. For greater thicknesses, crushed stone aggregate may be added per bag of powder; refer to product data sheet.
• Trowel concrete onto the wet or tacky primer, finish with a float. When laying, also prime the underside of elements.
• Minimum installation thickness must be met for vehicular traffic areas.
• SikaFiber® 155 may be added for enhanced flexural strength; consult Sika technical staff for details.
• Clean tools immediately after use with clean water.

What is the difference between Monoset RXG and Monoset RX?

Monoset® RXG is a waterproof concrete suitable for driveways, car parks, roads and other areas subject to heavy vehicular traffic, rapidly gaining strength for vehicle use. Monoset® RX is a waterproof mortar suitable for kitchens, balconies and general floor repairs, gaining strength for pedestrian traffic. Both are rapid-hardening waterproof products from the Ronacrete range.

Can aggregate be added to Monoset RXG?

Yes. For greater thicknesses, crushed stone aggregate may be added per bag of Monoset® RXG powder to extend use. SikaFiber® 155 may also be added for enhanced flexural strength. Refer to product data sheet for details.
