Sikaflex 112 Crystal Clear — Transparent Adhesive and Sealant
Sikaflex®-112 Crystal Clear is a 1-part, multipurpose transparent adhesive and sealant based on Silane Terminated Polymer (STP / MS Polymer) technology. It cures to a crystal-clear finish, providing an invisible bond and seal. With good initial grab, zero sag flow, and a rapid ~10-minute skin time, it is ideal for applications where an invisible joint line is required.
Key Features
- Crystal clear transparent finish after curing
- Dual function — adhesive and sealant (CE marked)
- Good initial grab for immediate positioning
- Zero sag flow — suitable for vertical and overhead application
- Rapid skin time ~10 minutes (+23°C / 50% r.h.)
- Very low emissions — GEV-Emicode EC1PLUS, LEED v4 EQc 2
- Service temperature: -40°C to +70°C
- Bonds PVC (unlike polyurethane sealants)
Applications
- Adhesive: Bonding concrete, masonry, most stones, ceramic, wood, metals, glass (non-structural), and PVC
- Sealant: Sealing around bonded components where an invisible joint is desired
- Facade joint sealing — CE marked EN 15651-1 Class F EXT-INT 20HM
- Internal and external use

FAQ
What is the difference between Sikaflex 112 Crystal Clear and Sikaflex 11FC+?
The key difference is chemistry and appearance: 112 Crystal Clear uses Silane Terminated Polymer (STP) and cures completely transparent, while 11FC+ uses polyurethane and is available in black and grey only. 112 has a much faster skin time (~10 min vs ~70 min) and zero sag, but lower elongation (~400% vs ~700%) and a narrower joint width range (6–20 mm vs 10–35 mm).
Is it truly transparent after curing?
Yes. The product cures to a crystal-clear transparent finish. Prolonged exposure to chemicals, high temperatures, or UV radiation may cause slight discolouration, but this is purely aesthetic and does not affect technical performance.
Does Sikaflex 112 Crystal Clear require a primer?
Yes, for most substrates. Non-porous metals require Sika® Aktivator-205; porous substrates (concrete, brick) require Sika® Primer-3 N; PVC requires Sika® Primer-215. Always conduct preliminary adhesion trials before full application.
