Mapei Eco Prim Grip

Product Overview

Eco Prim Grip is a solvent-free primer composed of synthetic resin in water dispersion and selected inert fillers, supplied as a ready-to-use grey latex. Once dry, it creates a rough keying surface that provides an ideal bonding base for subsequent renders, levelling compounds, and tile adhesives. The product is non-flammable and safe for users and the environment.

Applications

• Primer treatment before applying render on concrete, brickwork, and similar substrates
• Primer treatment before applying levelling or self-levelling compounds on old ceramic, terrazzo, and natural stone floors
• Primer treatment before laying new ceramic tiles or natural stone directly on existing tile floors
• Improving the bond of tile adhesives on smooth, low-absorbency surfaces

Important Notes

• Not suitable for surfaces with rising damp or continuous water immersion
• Not suitable as adhesion promoter for adhesives and levelling compounds on screeds and power-trowelled concrete (use Eco Prim T instead)
• Substrates must be clean, dry, well-cured, and free from oil and loose parts
• Wear protective gloves and goggles during application
