SikaTop-540 Seal (formerly MSeal 540) is a high-elasticity polymer-modified cementitious waterproofing slurry by Sika. Bridges fine cracks, breathable to prevent moisture build-up. Certified safe for drinking water contact. Suitable for potable water tanks, reservoirs and external wall waterproofing. Supplied as a kit.
SikaTop 540 — High-Elasticity Drinking Water Grade Waterproofing Slurry
SikaTop-540 Seal (formerly MSeal 540) is a two-component, pre-proportioned waterproofing slurry system comprising a liquid polymer (Part A) and pre-blended powder (Part B). When mixed, they produce a smooth, brush-applied waterproofing slurry that bonds excellently to various building substrates. This polymer-modified slurry, based on selected synthetic resins and cement, provides enhanced adhesion while allowing water vapour transmission to prevent internal moisture accumulation. The product is certified for drinking water safety and passes fire resistance testing.

Important Notes
- Substrate must be clean, sound, free from laitance, loose particles, grease and old coatings
- Substrate must be thoroughly saturated with water before application
- Mix using mechanical stirrer (slow-speed drill with paddle), mix until uniform and lump-free
- Protect fresh coatings from direct sun, high temperatures and wind to prevent rapid drying
- Cure using damp hessian, polyethylene film or Sika Antisol S curing compound
- Freezing will destroy the product — prevent freezing during storage
- Clean tools with water before resin hardens
