How many coats are needed?

Typically 2-3 coats applied in alternating directions, with each coat allowed to dry before the next. Total dry film thickness should be at least 1mm.

Can I tile directly over the waterproofing?

Yes, once fully cured (usually 24-48 hours), tiles can be fixed directly using tile adhesive.
